Susie Thompson Poole




I know how much we all loved our cousin Susie.  Even though we did not see each other often, she has always had a special place in our hearts.  She was a very special person.  She would want us to keep Frank in our prayers.

I did copy and paste her obituary for those of you that have not seen it.

Susie Thompson Poole, age 82, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015.

Mrs. Poole was born on February 16, 1932 in Lula, Georgia to the late Charlie E. and Winnie Garner Thompson. She was a graduate of Lula High School and attended Piedmont College. Mrs. Poole was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adam and Eve Sunday school class and The Sunshine Band. She was also active in AARP. Mrs. Poole was employed with The Life of Georgia Insurance Company for a number of years as a cashier and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Frank Poole, Cornelia, GA; step-daughter and husband, Lynn and Rusty Banks, Lawrenceville, GA; step-grandchildren, Justin and Jesse Roach.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Brian James officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Gainesville, Georgia.

We had snow last Monday evening that stayed around several days.  On Tuesday of this week we had sleet and snow, and on Wednesday night we had a beautiful snowfall that brought us six or seven inches.
