Wayne's early years...

Junior was three, and I was eight years old when Mama and Daddy brought our baby brother Wayne home from the hospital.  And, I was old enough to hold him in a rocking chair.  This is going to be so much fun.  Our grand parents, aunt, uncle and cousin still lived close to us so this baby is going to get all the attention.  I think Wayne must have thought ...this is pretty neat.. I have a mama, daddy, big brother and a big sister, and they just keep smiling at me.

Junior's early years

Junior came into this world with a smile and dimples that would melt your heart. He was surrounded by family..Mama, Daddy and a five year old sister.  Next door was Aunt Ruby, Uncle Lester and cousin Jewell Dean.  A block away was Grandpa and Grandma Bradshaw.  We all just wanted to hold him...my new baby brother...

It was a good place...

Keith - Billy - Scott - Steve

Some photos of our children's" growing up years".We had moved to the country before our oldest son had started school  It was a good place to raise a family with wide open spaces....just a long way to drive to town.  The boys had hills and trails in the woods to ride their bikes and later their dirt bikes.  We also had their grandma Mamie and papa Talmadge.... who came to live with us in the early 60's ....I wouldn't take anything for having them in all  our lives, and I know all the neighborhood children would say the same thing Our home was grand central station at times.  It was a good place, and it was the best of times..
